An extremely rare tetradrachm from Ephesos

KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.95 g, 12 h), Ephesos, circa 200-190. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [AΛEΞANΔPOY] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, quiver above monogram. Price -, cf. 1886 (slightly differing monogram). Extremely rare. Struck on a slightly short flan and with minor marks and flan faults, otherwise, good very fine.
